Only festival of its kind in Belgium, Anima, the Brussels International Animation Film Festival, is one of the most important animation festivals in Europe and enjoys international renown. Anima takes place every year in Brussels, at Flagey, Marni and Cinematek, as well as in other locations throughout Wallonia and Flanders. Every year, Anima organises virtual reality film screenings, offering its audience the opportunity to discover them entirely for free. In addition, depending on its programme, Anima often collaborates with XR exhibitors to decorate its festival venues.
