VirtualPalace is a historic cinema (1860) undergoing renovation. Today, it hosts staged XR events, with a cinema bar and 360° seats. Winner of the 2022 Digital Innovation Award (Kinshasa Now VR), the venue hosted Brussels Virtual Week and The Eye (Jarre/Huang) in 2024. XR is the core of VirtualPalace’s identity. Today, the venue operates as a prototype platform with immersive 360° chairs (DIVA + Meta Quest 2) and modular VR sessions staged in a historic 1860s cinema house. Programming revolves around scenographic XR events built around a ground-floor bar-cinema. A full transformation is underway (urban permit filed), aiming at 1000 m² by 2030, with DCP laser projection and expanded XR capabilities.
